Stafford Technology

You can’t easily bake a cake without knowing the right ingredients. Likewise, says Jeremy Florea, President of Stafford Technology, you can’t create a customized IT solution without the right people with the right skills for the company at hand.

Florea, with 20 years in the industry, founded Stafford Technology in February 2012.

Stafford Technology, a boutique IT staffing consultancy and recruiting firm based in Columbus, links IT professionals with companies throughout Central Ohio. Stafford works in many facets of IT, including IT leadership, software development, business analysis, data management, network and system management, and end user support.  Stafford’s clients currently range anywhere from 15 to 10,000 employees.

Stafford emphasizes a service first approach, forming collaborative partnerships. With this approach, Florea explains, Stafford  aims to first establish trust, transparency and accountability, which leads to a mutually beneficial relationship and consistent, repeated success.

“We’re not selling software or hardware, rather we provide technology solutions through people,” Florea says. In order to provide effective solutions, Stafford Technology first focuses on understanding what a company needs in order to provide the appropriate resources. Stafford Technology

“invests time on the front end,” Florea says, so that they can provide a suitable resolution. The key component to Stafford’s success? Open, effective communication. That is the only means by which an IT company can fully understand its clients’ needs and match them with the right talent.

“Our IT community values collaboration,” Florea says, adding that the Columbus IT community is both supportive and inclusive, and working to support a larger central Ohio. Stafford Technology points to the number of universities, tech companies, and companies headquartered  in the area as evidence of a vibrant environment. Of the IT community, Florea says that they “take care of their own, in a unique way. It’s real and it’s great to be a positive, contributing member of the Central Ohio IT community.”

In terms of trends, Stafford Technology sees a lot of focus on cybersecurity, DevOps, cloud development, and machine learning. Companies still seem to be placing an emphasis on cybersecurity after data breaches, Florea notes. He believes companies today need to build an awareness of the data breach threats from within their organizations and how to keep their information safe. Proper employee training and establishing an incident response plan are but two steps companies can take to improve cybersecurity. While most in-house IT staff are aware of  prevalent security issues, about 90 percent of most companies’ staff needs to be better informed, Florea maintains.

Stafford Technology lives their core company values –  Accountable, Curious, Ethical and Driven, or ACED – and partners with companies who embrace those same qualities. In the end, Florea says, his company approaches working with clients and the IT professionals they serve with the question, “How can we help?”

Stafford Technology is located at 400 W Wilson Bridge Road, Suite 130, Worthington, OH 43085.
