MIT CDOIQ Symposium

As the world’s leading authority in technology research and innovation, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Chief Data Officer and Information Quality (MIT CDOIQ) Symposium has served as a beacon of technological thought leadership since its creation 13 years ago, and is recognized as the foremost authority in the world in the field of data and analytics. The 13th annual MIT CDOIQ Symposium will be presented from July 31st to August 2nd, 2019. The goal of the MIT CDOIQ Symposium is to share and exchange the knowledge and ideas of technology experts and thought leaders around the globe.

Dr. Richard Wang, Director of the MIT CDOIQ Symposium, who founded the Symposium, is supported by Mark Johnson, Co-Chair of the event and leader of Fusion Alliance in Cincinnati Ohio, along with Robert Lutton serving as Co-Director. The Symposium has produced the premier educational and community event for global leaders in the data and analytics profession for 13 years.

The MIT CDOIQ Symposium and ComSpark will be partnering together to launch the Chief Data Officer Magazine as the company’s newest title in the fall of 2019. The goal of the publication is to share the thoughts of leading experts throughout the globe and breakthrough advancements in the field of data and analytics.

“Our purpose is to advance the knowledge and accelerate the adoption of the role of Chief Data Officer (CDO) in all industries and geographical countries,” says Robert Lutton, MIT CDOIQ Symposium Co-Director. “As data is a critical aspect of every organization, the symposium is focusing on the management and leadership of this critical element for the 21st century that will benefit every organization. We look forward to working with our partners such as comspark.tech that can help us extend our reach further.”

“In the rapidly evolving data-driven corporate environment, it is critical to establish the office of Chief Data Officer to deliver high-quality data for business operations,” says Dr. Wang. “As part of the MIT CDOIQ Symposium community, the CDO Magazine will provide valuable insights and resources to help CDOs deliver high-quality data, increase revenues, reduce costs and seize business opportunities.”

Confirmed keynote speakers for the MIT CDOIQ 2019 Symposium include Michael Conlin, Chief Data Officer for the U.S. Department of Defense; Gokola Mishra, Chief Data Officer for the McDonald’s Corp.; JoAnn Stonier, Chief Data Officer for Mastercard; and Mark Ramsey, Senior Vice President of Research & Development and Chief Data and Analytics Officer for GlaxoSmithKline.

“MIT CDOIQ Symposium will continue the tradition that started years ago of bringing CDOs and IQ Professionals from all over the world to take part in sessions and workshops and to attend presentations, which are geared towards the professional development of CDOs,” says Dr. Wang.
